She has had a distinguished career as a prominent Oncologist in New York City. Following her retirement she combined medicine with her other childhood career target, painting, by attending The National Academy of Design. She has become an award-winning artist recognized nationally for her series of watercolor portraits. She is a Former Honorary Consul of Ecuador in Miami and she had also served as a Special Advisor to the Secretary of State and Chairwoman of the Consular Corps in Miami. At present time, she is Founder and Chairman of “United Aliens Artists Fundation”, she serves in the Board of Directors of “Dreams without Borders” (Suenos Sin Fronteras), and she’s been appointed to the Board of Advisors of Glamour Saves the Worlds and the Advisory Board of International Solidarity for Human Rights, Inc.
