The Route MDC

The Route to Human Rights at Miami Dade College will consist of 30 works of art, installed at all 8 of the college’s campuses and 3 other college premises. The project will include the construction of a 5,000 square foot Pavilion dedicated to human rights.The works of art will be created by national and international artists. 

Up to now three works of art are available for public viewing:

Article 19. Freedom of Expression Plaza, at Miami Dade College, Interamerican Campus, unveiled on Dec 10, 2010, displays the sculpture “Elevation” by renowned Uruguayan artist Mauro Arbiza                                          

Article 2. Freedom from Discrimination Plaza, at Miami Dade College, North Campus, unveiled on Dec 10, 2011, displays the sculptures “NINOS” by renowned Spanish artist dEmo

Article 1. We all are Born Free and Equal, at Miami Dade College, North Campus, unveiled on October 22, 2012, displays a large format painting “Libertad” by renowned Venezuelan painter Jorge Dager
