This route has been inspired by “The Route to Human Rights Project” by International Solidarity for Human Rights and developed by the Ministry of Health of the Government of Andorra in collaboration with the communes (municipalities), in order to promote healthy lifestyles for the whole world. This route contributes to the dissemination and education of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which the United Nations promulgated in the General Assembly on December 10, 1948. The 30 points that make up the Charter are present along the route, coinciding with the 30 kilometers of the route.

The Healthy Route of Human Rights is a project that has the support of the World Health Organization, an organization that was presented in 2016, at the Conference of the European region of this international institution. This is another initiative linking the promotion of healthy physical exercise, dissemination of Andorra’s heritage and respect for human rights.
