The Foundation

International Solidarity for Human Rights (ISHR) is a non profit 501 (c) (3) organization stablished in the state of Florida, December 16, 2008. ISHR serves students and the community in South Florida, USA. Also, ISHR has establish Human Rights programs internationally. ISHR is dedicated to education and learning  of the principles embedded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. ISHR is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, “the largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative in the world that encourages corporations to implement its ten universal principles, which encourage responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labor-relations, environment protection and anti-corruption.”

This Human Rights Coloring Book (CB) can be used as a resource for children and parents to learn about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights while exercising creativity and art. It contains 30 original illustrations of the 30 universal human rights, with a short version of the 30 Articles written in English and Spanish. The  purpose of this CB  is to promote the 30  values of the UDHR. “Just as a child must build interdependent motor skills to be able to perform complex nerve and muscle acts to produce movement, children must build the ability to perform using the 30 interdependent human rights that they are entitled with since birth. The improvement of one right will facilitate the advancement of all of them”. Maria Brum
