International Solidarity for Human Rights (ISHR) is a non profit 501 (c) (3) organization stablished in the state of Florida on December 16, 2008. We serve students and the community in Florida, USA. Also, we are establishing Human Rights programs in Panama, Canada and Spain. To educate, using art, and in a positive way, about the principles embedded in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. ISHR is a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact, the largest voluntary corporate citizenship initiative in the world that encourages corporations to implement its ten universal principles, which encourage responsible business practices in the areas of human rights, labor-relations, environment protection and anti-corruption.

This Human Rights Coloring Book is an instrument for children and parents to learn about the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It contains 30 original illustrations , one per page, of each one of the 30 universal human rights, with a short version of the 30 Articles written in English and Spanish. It provides the children, and parents, with basic knowledge about the rights that protects us all from discrimination, inequality, and injustices. This coloring book promotes values, peace, inclusion, and responsibility. “Just as a child must build interdependent motor skills to be able to perform complex nerve and muscle acts to produce movement, children must build the ability to perform using the 30 interdependent human rights that they are entitled with since birth. The improvement of one right will facilitate the advancement of all of them”. So let’s inspire and empower the children and parents of the earth, so that they become the change we want to see in the world.

“The most important challenge for the 21st century is for all women and men, youth and children to learn, know and own human rights as a way of life, so as to plan and carry out their lives guided by the holistic, comprehensive, interconnected and interrelated world view that is human rights. We must make human rights a counter-power to achieve full equality for all without any discrimination; to arrive at meaningful economic and social transformations, adopting positive creative choices; giving real power to human rights; learning to identify the difference between what are the symptoms and what are the causes of inequality.” – Shula Koening
